Sofia Szabo was born in Orange County, California. At the age of 19, she moved to New York City to pursue her acting career. She continues to strive to the next level and accomplish what she knows is possible.
"I moved to New York instead of LA because I felt (and still do) that NYC is the best place for an artist to find their creative process. There is so much to learn from and the support from other artists is beyond comparison. I greatly admired the curriculum at NYU, Tish, so I made my own curriculum by taking classes at many of the institutions that they provided. After some time, I found my home at William Esper Studios. Meisner has been so important to my craft and my process, I truly feel so lucky to have been able to complete a two year program at such a reputable school. I have been 'pursuing' my dream for the past two years, booking such things as National Network Promos, Cable Pilots, and a series of short films and one Independent feature- alongside many print ads such as Babys R US and WE Network. I am freelancing with some very highly regarded managers/agencies. I consistently work on my craft with supplemental classes and personal coaching. I will always challenge myself in new and innovative ways to get closer to the immediate goals I have set for myself. I have chosen a path, and I am committed to seeing it through."
